SABCA’s Sky-High Achievement: Flying in Canada

Many people associate Canada with incredible nature, maple trees and snow.
In SABCA’s case we associate it with the next step of our industrial UAV project.

Flying outside the known realm of EASA has challenged our team significantly.
What takes it to the next level is the complex airspace of our destination.

The Port of Halifax, Nova Scotia is considered as Canada’s Atlantic Gateway to the world.

Due to its strategic location, it makes the Port an ideal gateway for shippers and a perfect vantage point for military operations.

Setting up UAV operations in such an environment requires careful alignment with all stakeholders, ranging from industrial to military entities.
With their support and creative thinking safe UAV operations were made possible.

The general rehearsal was flawlessly executed, allowing the team to confidently move to the final destination within this industrial UAV application
